Steelseries Engine is packed with features – it’s also free. It’s packed with tools for managers of your Steam library and has the ability to keep the engine updated automatically to ensure all your games work with the latest software. You can also create your own apps and create profiles for three different game platforms, including old-school keyboard shortcuts like WASD for movement, semi and full mouse buttons for mouse emulation, etc. It also syncs up to 50 SteelSeries devices through a free smartphone app that allows the engine to control your inventory and helps you calibrate your SteelSeries devices.

The Apex 7s has all of the same features which most gaming keyboards have, including media controls (volume, brightness, screen muting, etc.) and a full-size SteelSeries 3-button thumb rest. The Apex has removable keycaps, so you can customize it to match your personal style. The pad is firm with decent travel. The supplied keyboard feet can be placed on the left or right side, but as this is a full-sized keyboard, it’s better placed with the SteelSeries feet on the back. d2c66b5586
