4. Once the link is set up, the IP can click on the link icon to view the target dataset. The IPs can then use the dataset to find related resources or return to the home page of the dataset in question.
Setting up a file structure in NAISC-L requires making the datasets readily available to be linked. NAISC-L currently uses the URIs of the URIs of the datasets in order to create these interlinks. The LD datasets are stored in a set of virtual folders called datasets. For each dataset, NAISC-L adds the virtual folder as a URI to its home page. In order to create interlinks, the IPs need to create a set of URIs. Each URI is added to the dataset, and, in turn, the URI is used as the link to another URI (the target) in another dataset. NAISC-L uses existing URIs to link the dataset and the target dataset. The URIs are those of the URIs in the datasets, and the URIs of the URIs in the datasets are the URIs of their home page. Each URI is used as the subject of a triple, each using the URI of the dataset as a predicate and the URI of the URI in the dataset as the object. As the URIs of the URIs are the URIs of the URIs of the datasets, the URIs are used as the objects of the triples, and the URIs of the datasets are used as the predicates.
For datasets which have been published in the Dublin Core, NAISC-L creates a link between the dataset and the Dublin Core record. The Dublin Core record contains information about the dataset, including which dataset(s) it is related to, as well as other key metadata about the dataset. The Dublin Core record is hosted on the Dublin Core Metadata Registry (DCMR) and can be viewed directly by visiting the URIs of the URIs of the Dublin Core record in the home page of the dataset in question.
The report will address questions such as:
How are interlinks used in the humanities datasets available?
Can the LIF be used to share data?
How can interlinks be added to humanities datasets?
Can the LIF be used to share tools and workflows?
How can we improve the LIF?
This report aims to create a common set of building blocks for humanities LOD that can be used to share data in a consistent and reusable way. Furthermore, the research will investigate the potential of the LIF as a method of sharing LOD building blocks. It will also make suggestions as to potential future directions for the LIF.
After the extension has been successfully activated by entering your serial number, you will be presented with the following dialog box. A window will then appear to request you to restart SketchUp for the extension to be fully activated. After you restart SketchUp, you will be able to see the extension in the Tools Panel.
