CaseWare offers two products: CaseWare Working Papers and CaseWare Connector. Working Papers includes working papers, case manager, and case tracking. Connector is used to integrate CaseWare with the Microsoft Excel and Word applications.

The main screen of the Connector displays the number of active users and the currently opened working papers. If the active user count is greater than one, the last used working papers for each user are displayed. To open a working paper you must first select a user from the list, then click on the working paper (or case number) in the list.

There are several ways to disable CaseWare Connector in Excel or Word, and they are outlined in the CaseWare Connector Help to ensure you are using the most current version of the software. Please note that disabling this add-in disables the entire CaseWare Office Suite of products. After you purchase the software, you can log in to your CaseWare Office Suite account. You can access this from the main screen of the CaseView Office Suite. From there you can access the CaseWare Connector component of the CaseWare Office Suite. The user interface to the Connector is standard Microsoft Excel or Word.

If your CaseWare user suddenly can't log in to CaseWare Connector after being disabled, check the system to make sure it is configured correctly, and that your user has a valid user name and password. If you know your user's password, try logging in as that user with the same user name and password to double-check the configuration.
